The journey of life turns so many bends
And seeing joy is not an easy task
When love unravels at its fraying ends
While tears hide behind an old smiling mask.
Reflect on moments of laughing aloud
For no reason but love she makes you feel
The days spent drifting on a summer cloud
Or dancing wildly to a pipers’ reel.
These times of joy are so precious and few
Yet keep the heart warm when the skies turn grey
In mundane dullness we have to work through
We often forget love is here to stay.
Remember to tell her words that you mean
For unsaid words of love are never seen
